When 11 year old Jack and his American cousin Ella dare each other to explore the overgrown garden of an abandoned London house, they discover a half-buried bomb shelter from the Second World War.

When they go inside they think they have found the perfect hang-out, but when they try to leave - they find they have been transported back in time to 1940 - in the middle of an air raid!
