Contributor Bio:  Mignin, Robert J Robert J. Mignin is a partner with the national law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago, Illinois. The firm has offices throughout the United States. Mr. Mignin received his B. A. from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where he graduated "cum laude". He received his J. D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and was an undergraduate teaching assistant in business law at the University of Illinois. Mr. Mignin specializes in labor and employment law matters, including union relations, collective bargaining, mediation and arbitration, discrimination and harassment charges, development of human resources policies and procedures and workplace compliance programs, labor and employment law ramifications of global restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, as well as employment litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Mignin is a member of the firm s Workforce Counseling, Litigation and International Labor and Employment Law Practice Groups. He is Senior Vice Chair of the Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Mr. Mignin was recently elected a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
