You're Nicked My Son: a True Account of 30 Years Policing

This book takes you through 30 years service of a frontline police officer in the UK. Relating true stories from the old style policing days of the mid 70s, when the best piece of equipment issued to an officer was his uniform high collard wollen cape right up to the modern day policing of 2007 where everything is now computerised and technology led. The stories show the tragic and sad, serious and funny and quite often the exciting if not sometimes dangerous life of an officer. The author spent 20 years in uniform and 10 years in the CID. The latter mostly involved tackling Londons serious and organised crime whilst serving on Scotland Yards World Famous 'Flying Squad' who were made infamous by the television series 'The Sweeney'. Many stories made headlines including The Millennium Dome Robbery and the return of the Great Train Robber, Ronnie Biggs. This book gives a personal account of the incidents as they happened.
