Prosperity
Charles Fillmore
First published in 1936, "Prosperity: Spiritual Secrets to an Abundant Life", by the celebrated New Thought mystic and author Charles Fillmore, is the pioneering self-help guide that guides the reader in a transformation from rags to riches. Born in Minnesota in 1854, Fillmore received little formal education, but was a voracious reader and studied classic literature, Eastern religions, metaphysics, and works on spiritualism and the Bible. In 1886, Fillmore and his wife and children moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began attending New Thought classes and soon began publishing a magazine called "Modern Thought", which contained the ideas of the New Thought movement on spirituality, prayer, and mysticism. They went on to found the Unity Church and Fillmore published many books on his belief in metaphysics and the power of prayer and positive thinking. In "Prosperity", Fillmore sets out twelve lessons to help the reader find financial wealth and abundance, along with a personal sense of purpose and strength. Fillmore was an early proponent of the idea that our state of mind affects our physical reality and his powerful ideas on the importance of positive thinking and emotions have inspired and helped countless readers. This edition is printed on premium acid-free paper.
