The Value of a Smile: Victimization 101

Every family, touched by violent crime, is flooded with a range of emotional trauma that is beyond the range of normal human experience.

There is no end to the damage, and no healing; most victims and survivors find the term 'closure' a meaningless, empty word. We learn to live with the life that is thrust upon us as a means of survival and after time our smiles return but never the life we knew before.

It is these thoughts and lessons that we hope to share.
