Without proper guidance in any institution, one cannot decipher who is who, and who handles what, and in what order to proceed. We can end up missing the mark because of zeal without knowledge. Paul specifically prayed against such occurrences in Romans 10 verses 2 and 3 "For I bear witness that they have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God."
