The two short novels that make up Echoes8084 BC and 2084 ADtry to offer a synoptic view of our species' most profound changes over ten thousand years: the relationship between its component male and female elements. These prepared fictional contextsone being Neolithic, about which much is known in anthropological terms; the other being futuristic, about which nothing can really be knownallow for the rapid precipitation of situations that induce radical changes in both men and women.
